Visa and Mastercard implemented 3D secure password in partnership with the card issuing banks under the “Verified by Visa” and “Mastercard Securecode” services. The 3D password brings another layer of security through verification of your debit/credit card transaction.
As the 3D password is only known by you, so this means only you can make the payment through your debit/credit card for online transactions.
